There were two MLB doubleheaders on Wednesday, August 7, so a total of 17 baseball games were played. That means there’s a ton to discuss from a fantasy baseball perspective.

Diamondbacks 5, Guardians 3 (Game 1)

Josh Bell hit two home runs (a two-run shot and solo blast) to power Arizona. Randal Grichuk added a solo bomb among his two knocks.

Ketel Marte walked twice for the Diamondbacks. Adrian Del Castillo had a walk, hit and RBI. Corbin Carroll had a walk, hit, stolen base and run scored. 

David Fry and Jose Ramirez hit solo homers for Cleveland. Lane Thomas and Jhonkensy Noel had two hits each. 

Angels 8, Yankees 2 (Game 1)

Zach Neto hit a grand slam for Los Angeles. He had three hits and six RBIs total.

Michael Stefanic also had three hits for the Angels, while also scoring a run. Mickey Moniak had two hits, an RBI and a run scored, while Nolan Schanuel had a hit, walk, RBI and run scored. Matt Thaiss and Jo Adell each had a hit, walk and run scored. 

DJ LeMahieu had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for New York. Carlos Narvaez had a hit and two walks, while Aaron Judge had a hit and a walk. 

Diamondbacks 7, Guardians 3 (Game 2)

Geraldo Perdomo, Marte and Carroll each had two-run homers for Arizona. Carroll also walked once and scored a second run, while Marte also walked.

Joc Pederson had two hits, a walk and a run scored for the Diamondbacks. Jose Herrera walked twice and scored a run.

Josh Naylor hit a solo shot for Cleveland. Ramirez and Brayan Rocchio had a hit, walk and RBI each, while Andres Gimenez collected two hits. Ramirez also stole a base.

Cubs 8, Twins 2

Ian Happ hit a two-run homer for Chicago, while Michael Busch added a solo blast. Busch had two hits, a walk and two runs scored total, while Happ scored a second run and stole a base. 

Christian Bethancourt had two hits, a walk, an RBI and a run scored for the Cubs. Mike Tauchman had a hit, walk, stolen base and run scored.

Carlos Santana had two hits and a run scored for Minnesota. Max Kepler had a hit and a walk. Matt Wallner had a hit, was plunked by a pitch and drove in a run.

Astros 6, Rangers 4

Victor Caratini and Yordan Alvarez each hit solo homers for Houston. Alvarez also walked twice in the contest, while Caratini had a second hit and also walked once.

Zach Dezenzo had two hits, a walk and two runs scored for the Astros. Yainer Diaz had three knocks, while Mauricio Dubon and Alex Bregman each had two hits, an RBI and a run scored. Jose Altuve had a hit, walk and RBI.

Marcus Semien hit a solo blast for Texas among his two hits. Nathaniel Lowe had two hits, an RBI and a run scored. 

Wyatt Langford had a hit, two walks, a stolen base and two runs scored for the Rangers. Jonah Heim had two knocks and an RBI, while Adolis Garcia had a hit and a walk.

Athletics 3, White Sox 2

Zack Gelof had two hits and an RBI for Oakland. Abraham Toro had a hit, two walks and a run scored, while Brent Rooker had a hit, was plunked by a pitch and scored a run.

Andrew Benintendi hit a two-run blast for Chicago. Gavin Sheets had two knocks.

Yankees 5, Angels 2 (Game 2)

Oswaldo Cabrera hit a solo homer for New York. He also walked once.

Alex Verdugo had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored for the Yankees. Judge had two hits, two walks, an RBI and a run scored, while Austin Wells had two knocks, a walk and an RBI. Ben Rice walked twice and scored a run.

Neto hit a two-run homer for Los Angeles. He also walked once.

Anthony Rendon had two knocks and a walk for the Angels. Willie Calhoun walked twice and added a hit. Adell had a hit and a walk.

Marlins 6, Reds 4

Jake Burger hit a pair of homers (both solo shots), while Derek Hill hit a grand slam for Miami. 

Jonah Bride had two hits and a run scored for the Marlins. Jesus Sanchez walked twice and scored once, while Otto Lopez had a hit, walk, stolen base and run scored.

TJ Friedl hit a grand slam for Cincinnati. He also walked once.

Tyler Stephenson and Jake Fraley each had two hits and a run scored for the Reds, while Stephenson also walked once. Santiago Espinal had a hit, walk and run scored. Ty France had a hit and was hit by a pitch.

Padres 9, Pirates 8 (10 inn.)

Jackson Merrill homered twice (both solo blasts) for San Diego. Kyle Higashioka hit a three-run bomb. Merrill had four hits, three RBIs and three runs scored total, while Higashioka had a second hit and three RBIs total.

Xander Bogaerts had two hits, a walk, an RBI and a run scored for the Padres, while Manny Machado had two knocks, an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored. Donovan Solano had two hits and a run scored. 

David Peralta walked twice for San Diego. Ha-Seong Kim had a hit, walk, stolen base and run scored, while Bryce Johnson had a hit and walk. 

Andrew McCutchen hit a solo homer for Pittsburgh. He had two hits, a walk and three RBIs total. 

Isiah Kiner-Falefa had two knocks, a stolen base and a run scored for the Pirates. Bryan Reynolds drove in two runs on two hits and a walk, while Ke'Bryan Hayes had two hits, a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Yasmani Grandal walked twice, while Michael A. Taylor had a hit, walk and run scored.

Giants 7, Nationals 4

Matt Chapman, Heliot Ramos and Mike Yastrzemski all hit a solo homer for San Francisco. Yastrzemski had a second hit, RBI and run scored, Ramos added a second hit and run and Chapman finished with three hits and two RBIs.

LaMonte Wade Jr. had a hit, walk and run scored for the Giants. 

Juan Yepez hit a two-run blast for Washington. He added a second hit and also stole a base.

Alex Call had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for the Nats. CJ Abrams had a hit, walk and RBI, while Jacob Young had a hit, walk and run scored. 

Orioles 7, Blue Jays 3

Anthony Santander and Jackson Holliday hit two-run homers for Baltimore. Santander also hit a solo homer. 

Eloy Jimenez drove in two runs on two hits and scored once for the Orioles. Adley Rutschman had a hit, was plunked by a pitch and scored once.

Leo Jimenez had three hits and a run scored for Toronto. Alejandro Kirk had two knocks and a walk, while Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a hit and a walk.

Brewers 8, Braves 5

Blake Perkins drove in three runs on three hits and stole two bases for Milwaukee. Joey Ortiz had three hits, a walk, two RBIs and a run scored.

Jackson Chourio and Rhys Hoskins had three hits, a walk and a run scored each - Chourio also stole two bases. Gary Sanchez had two hits, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. 

Willy Adames had a walk and two runs scored for Milwaukee. Andruw Monasterio had a hit, three walks and an RBI. 

Austin Riley hit a two-run homer for Atlanta, while Jarred Kelenic added a solo blast. Riley had two hits, a walk, three RBIs and two runs scored in total.

Orlando Arcia had two knocks for the Braves. Jorge Soler and Marcell Ozuna had a hit and walk each, while Soler also scored a run.

Cardinals 5, Rays 2

Nolan Arenado and Alec Burleson each had two hits and RBIs for St. Louis. Burleson also scored a run.

Masyn Winn had two hits and RBIs for the Cardinals. Nolan Gorman had a hit, walk and run scored. Willson Contreras had two knocks, an RBI and a run scored. Matt Carpenter walked twice.

Josh Lowe had two hits and a run scored for Tampa Bay. Yandy Diaz, Dylan Carlson and Jose Siri all had a hit and a walk.

Royals 8, Red Sox 4

Bobby Witt Jr. hit two homers (both solo shots), while Vinnie Pasquantino added a two-run blast for Kansas City. Witt had three hits, four RBIs and three runs scored in total.

MJ Melendez had two walks and runs scored for the Royals. Michael Massey had a hit, walk, RBI and run scored, while Salvador Perez had a hit, was plunked by a pitch and also walked.

Romy Gonzalez hit a three-run homer for Boston, while Danny Jansen added a solo shot. Masataka Yoshida had two hits, and Rafael Devers had a hit and a walk.

Mets 5, Rockies 3

Jesse Winker had three hits and an RBI for New York. Francisco Lindor drove in two runs on two hits, stole a base and scored once.

Francisco Alvarez had two knocks for the Mets. Pete Alonso had a hit, walk, stolen base and RBI, while Ben Gamel and Tyrone Taylor had a hit, walk and run scored each.

Ezequiel Tovar hit a solo bomb for Colorado. Kris Bryant and Jake Cave had two hits and an RBI each. Michael Toglia had a hit, walk and run scored.

Tigers 6, Mariners 2

Jake Rogers and Wenceel Perez each hit solo homers for Detroit. Each player also walked and scored a second run.

Matt Vierling had three hits, an RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored for the Tigers. Gio Urshela drove in two runs on two hits. Parker Meadows and Zach McKinstry each had two knocks and a stolen base, with McKinstry also walking once. 

Cal Raleigh hit a two-run homer for Seattle. Randy Arozarena had two hits, a walk and a run scored. Justin Turner had a hit and a walk.

Phillies 9, Dodgers 4

Kyle Schwarber hit three home runs (a three-run shot and two solo blasts) to power Philadelphia. He had four hits, seven RBIs and a walk in the contest.

Nick Castellanos had two hits, a walk, was plunked by a pitch and scored two runs for the Phillies. Johan Rojas had a hit, walk, stolen base and two runs scored. Trea Turner had two hits.

Freddie Freeman drove in three runs on two hits and also scored once for Los Angeles. Austin Barnes had a hit, walk and run scored.
