Francisco Lindor flashes power despite a sluggish batting average down the stretch

Lindor has provided steady pop with five home runs over his last 30 days, though his batting average sits at just .170 over the past two weeks. The everyday shortstop recently climbed to sixth on the franchise's all-time home run list, remaining an anchor for a fifth-place Mets club sitting at 61-76.

While his .234 season average and modest three stolen bases trail his typical 30-homer, 30-steal baseline from previous campaigns, our models anticipate positive regression at the plate. With Juan Soto back setting the table, Lindor's counting stats and on-base metrics are poised to rebound toward our rest-of-season projections.

New York faces a six-game slate this week, traveling to Tampa Bay before hosting San Francisco. Lindor gets advantageous early-week spots against Ian Seymour (4.40 ERA) and Freddy Peralta (5.15 ERA) before testing tougher arms in Shane McClanahan and Logan Webb.
