Devin Williams remains the primary closer in New York despite ongoing command struggles

Williams has struggled with significant command issues lately, posting a staggering 15.00 ERA and 5.00 WHIP over his last four appearances. Despite this poor form, he remains the primary closer for the fifth-place Mets, who currently sit at 40-57 and are looking to snap a three-game losing streak. His role is secure as the top option in the bullpen, especially with several key relievers like Reed Garrett and Austin Warren currently sidelined by injuries.
