Dynamic rookie Carson Benge solidifies everyday role amid Mets injury woes

Benge has emerged as a rare bright spot for the fifth-place Mets, who currently sit at 35-49 in the division. Over the last 30 days, the rookie has been highly productive, slashing .283 with six home runs, 12 RBI, and two stolen bases. With key teammates like Marcus Semien and Luis Robert Jr. on the injured list, our data confirms Benge has fully secured his role as the primary everyday starter in right field.

His recent performance is significantly outpacing his baseline career stats, as he is already nearing double-digit totals in both home runs and stolen bases for the season. While his 28 strikeouts over the last month highlight some typical rookie swing-and-miss tendencies, his .840 OPS in that span suggests his power is legitimate.
