Darnell Washington at Tampa Bay — Red-Zone Dart Throw Amid Receiver Injuries

Darnell Washington operates as Pittsburgh's secondary tight end behind Pat Freiermuth, but injuries across the receiving corps could afford him elevated involvement. With Michael Pittman Jr. sidelined on injured reserve and Roman Wilson doubtful, the Steelers are thin on pass catchers, positioning Washington for meaningful snaps in multi-tight-end sets.

Washington has earned eight targets and caught a touchdown over his last two contests, proving to be an imposing red-zone weapon. Our weekly projections peg him for 6.1 fantasy points on roughly 2.5 receptions for 26 yards. While his scoring upside is real, his modest target volume leaves him rostered in only 2% of leagues and best suited for deep leagues.
