Fernando Mendoza | Fantasy Outlook

Fernando Mendoza Remains Sidelined as Raiders' Backup Against Chiefs

Rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza remains cemented as the primary backup behind starter Kirk Cousins. With Las Vegas off to an impressive 3-0 start, the coaching staff faces zero pressure to rush him into action, allowing him to absorb the offense from the sideline after not logging a snap through the first three weeks.

As a result, Mendoza carries no weekly fantasy utility. Our models project him for 0.0 fantasy points against Kansas City, and his roster percentage has plummeted to just 5% in redraft leagues. Unless an injury strikes ahead of him, he belongs on waivers in redraft formats and firmly on fantasy benches.
