Cedric Coward Season Outlook: Slated Starter Primed for Sophomore Leap

Entering his second NBA campaign at age 23, Cedric Coward sits atop Memphis' depth chart at shooting guard ahead of Jordan Hawkins. Fantasy managers have taken note of his starting designation, with his roster rate climbing steadily from 18% in late August up to 42%.

Coward established a versatile baseline during his 2025 rookie year across 62 games. He provided balanced production in 25.2 minutes per contest, posting 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while shooting 47.0% from the field and 84.0% from the free-throw line.

With an ADP of 146.7, Coward is primarily being drafted as a late-round flyer. Sharing the floor with core starters like Cameron Boozer and Zach Edey could temper high-end shot volume, but his starting role and rebounding prowess make him an intriguing target.
