Reduced Role and Backfield Competition Diminish Veteran's Draft Appeal

Devin Singletary enters the year in a reduced role, sitting third on the depth chart behind Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr. After registering 133 carries last season, our models project a steep decline in usage. We project Singletary for just 36 rushing attempts and 142 yards, making him a depth piece rather than a viable weekly option.

Singletary’s ADP has climbed slightly from 444 in early June to 392 in mid-July. Despite this momentum, fantasy managers should treat him as an over-hyped reach rather than a value. His 38% ownership reflects lingering name recognition, but our projected workload of 29 fantasy points indicates he is a roster clogger.

With Malik Nabers sidelined, the offense will rely on other playmakers, but those touches will go to Skattebo and Tracy. Singletary is projected for just six targets, offering no PPR floor. Barring injuries ahead of him, he should remain on waiver wires in standard leagues.
