Alvin Kamara | Fantasy Outlook
Reworked Deal Keeps Kamara in New Orleans, but a New Backfield Split Caps His Ceiling
Kamara restructured his contract to remain in New Orleans for his 10th season, but his fantasy landscape has shifted. He now operates as a secondary option behind Travis Etienne Jr. in Kellen Moore's offense. While Kamara has expressed excitement about reviving a dual-back committee, our data projects a limited workload of 91 carries and 27 receptions.
His draft market reflects this reduced role. After flirting with an ADP of 144 in early June, his price has settled to 157 in mid-July. This slight slide makes him an inexpensive late-round target. However, our projection of 98.8 fantasy points suggests he is a fading asset rather than a value steal, unless Etienne misses time.
At age 31, Kamara's efficiency has declined, as seen in his career-low 3.6 yards per carry in 2025. He remains a high-end handcuff and a bench stash for PPR managers. Unless he dominates red-zone usage, his weekly ceiling will be heavily TD-dependent.
