Devaughn Vele vs. Steelers: Modest Flex Appeal in Neutral-Site Clash
Vele enters Week 7 fully healthy and operating as the Saints' primary slot receiver alongside Chris Olave. With quarterback Tyler Shough practicing in full despite a minor hand issue, New Orleans should maintain its passing volume against Pittsburgh in Paris. Over his last two games, Vele has commanded 12 targets, hauling in seven receptions for 68 yards while securing a steady underneath role.
Our weekly projection slots Vele for roughly 3.7 receptions on nearly six targets for 39 receiving yards and 10.1 fantasy points, placing him firmly in the flex conversation. Facing a tough Steelers defense in a game with a modest 44-point total, his lack of explosive splash plays caps his ceiling, but steady target share keeps his floor respectable.
