Fully Cleared for Return But Fantasy Value Hinges on Landing Spot
Austin Ekeler is fully cleared to return and plans to play in 2026. After appearing in just two games for Washington in 2025, the veteran running back is a free agent. At 31 years old, his market value is uncertain, but his track record as a pass catcher remains highly respected.
Even with declining rushing volume, Ekeler remains efficient on a per-touch basis, averaging 5.4 yards per touch over the last five seasons. In a modern offense, he can still serve as a highly effective change-of-pace weapon and a reliable target, much like his 35-reception campaign in 2024.
