Ascending Role and Scheme Upgrade Point Toward a Career Year

Quentin Johnston enters his fourth season operating as a primary perimeter target in Los Angeles alongside Ladd McConkey. Coming off consecutive eight-touchdown campaigns while improving to a career-best 14.4 yards per catch in 2025, he has established himself as a reliable red-zone weapon for Justin Herbert.

Energy around the offense is high under new coordinator Mike McDaniel, who aims to maximize Johnston's run-after-catch ability. That enthusiasm is reflected in draft rooms, where his PPR ADP has steadily risen nearly a full round from pick 103 in early July into the mid-90s.

We project Johnston for 63 receptions, 775 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns on 94 targets, totaling 172.0 fantasy points. Even with his climbing draft stock, Johnston remains an appealing WR3/FLEX value with double-digit touchdown upside in this ascending passing offense.
