Mike McDaniel's Offense Set to Spark Huge Bounce-Back Season
After a down 2025 season with 789 receiving yards, Ladd McConkey is primed for a massive rebound. Operating as the primary slot receiver in Mike McDaniel's newly shaped offense, McConkey projects to be Justin Herbert’s clear top target. His position atop the slot depth chart puts him in line to easily surpass his 107 targets from last year.
Despite dealing with a minor hamstring strain during June minicamps, head coach Jim Harbaugh and medical staff expect him fully healthy for training camp. Our models project a highly productive bounce-back campaign. We project McConkey to catch 75 of 115 targets for 1,009 yards and six touchdowns, making him a high-end WR2.
In 1.0 PPR formats, fantasy managers are taking notice of this positive regression setup. His ADP briefly dipped to 43 following the hamstring scare but has stabilized right at 40. This trajectory shows strong market confidence, and our projections make him an outstanding value at his current draft cost.
