Expanding Role and Reliable Target Volume Create High-Floor PPR Appeal

Entering a contract year, Josh Downs appears primed for an expanded role in the Colts' passing attack. After brushing off a minor training camp groin tweak, head coach Shane Steichen noted Downs will see snaps both inside and outside. Even with veteran Keenan Allen in the mix and Alec Pierce sidelined on PUP, Downs projects as a vital chain-mover who should command steady volume.

Our projections anticipate Downs remaining a focal point underneath, forecasting 75 receptions on 111 targets for 740 yards and four touchdowns (172.0 PPR points). His high-volume profile provides a secure weekly floor in full PPR setups, building on back-to-back productive seasons in Indianapolis.

Draft market sentiment reflects growing confidence, as his ADP has climbed from pick 113 in late July into the mid-90s. At this reasonable mid-round cost, our models view Downs as an excellent PPR value who can easily outperform his current draft price as a reliable weekly flex.
