Emmett Johnson at Miami — Expanding Role Makes Him an Intriguing Stash

Operating as the direct backup behind Kenneth Walker, Johnson is steadily earning trust in Kansas City's backfield rotation. Both head coach Andy Reid and running backs coach DeMarco Murray recently noted that the rookie will see increased snaps to ease Walker's heavy workload. Johnson has maximized his limited touches over the first two weeks, turning 10 carries and four receptions into 103 total scrimmage yards.

With Kansas City favored by double digits against a winless Miami squad, a comfortable lead could lead to additional second-half touches for secondary backs. Our weekly projection slots Johnson for roughly 5 carries, 20 rushing yards, and a couple of targets (around 4.5 to 5.0 fantasy points). While his 2% start rate keeps him on fantasy benches for now, his surging 42% roster mark shows he is a priority stash.
