Tarik Skubal asserts himself as an elite ace during high-value two-start week

Skubal has been exceptional since returning from his elbow procedure, punctuated by a recent six-inning gem where he struck out nine and allowed only one hit. He serves as the undisputed staff anchor for the fourth-place Tigers, who currently hold a 40-50 record in the AL Central. Our data shows his command has returned to elite form immediately, as he has issued zero walks over his last 12 innings while maintaining a strikeout rate of 13.50 per nine innings.

His season ERA of 3.24 remains impressive, but our models suggest further positive regression toward a projected 2.45 ERA and 0.93 WHIP. The underlying metrics, specifically a strikeout-to-walk ratio over 9.00 this year, confirm that his dominant form is no fluke.
