Tyler Mahle Sidelined by Hamstring Injury Amid Tough Stretch

Tyler Mahle is currently sidelined on the 15-day injured list after suffering a strained hamstring in late May. Prior to the injury, Mahle struggled heavily, posting a rough 8.40 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over his last 15 innings. He remains inactive for the fourth-place Giants, who currently sit at 28-41.

His current 6.16 ERA across 11 starts is a major disappointment, but our models suggest better days are ahead. Our season projections forecast Mahle to regress positively toward a 3.81 ERA and 1.24 WHIP over 130 innings. If he can replicate his stellar 2.23 ERA from 2025 once healthy, he will be a major asset.

With the Giants continuing their home stand against the Cubs this weekend, Mahle will not see the mound. Given his inactive status and ongoing rehabilitation, there is no immediate fantasy utility here. Keep him stashed in your IL slot. Weekly Verdict: Sit.
