Didier Fuentes cements high-leverage bullpen role with electric late-season form

Fuentes has been virtually unhittable of late, tossing seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts over his last 14 days and capturing team Pitcher of the Month honors. The first-place Braves sit at 83-57 having won eight of their last 10 contests, relying heavily on the 21-year-old righty in late innings with Robert Suarez sidelined on the injured list. He has firmly established himself as a trusted setup weapon bridge to closer Raisel Iglesias.

Under the hood, this sustained run is fueled by high-octane stuff that easily touches 98 mph and has generated 79 strikeouts across 55.5 innings this year. While a 1.24 WHIP reflects occasional baserunner traffic, his 2.59 ERA, five wins, and 15 holds prove his high-strikeout bullpen dominance is completely genuine rather than a small-sample fluke.
