Dylan Lee | Fantasy Outlook

Dylan Lee remains a premier holds source for the division-leading Braves

Lee has been a vital cog for the first-place Braves, who lead the NL East with a 52-36 record. While a difficult outing on July 2nd slightly inflated his 14-day ERA to ~5.87, his elite 0.87 WHIP during that same stretch proves he is still dominating the strike zone and limiting baserunners. With Robert Suarez and Joe Jimenez currently on the injured list, our data confirms he is firmly entrenched as the primary setup man in Atlanta's high-leverage hierarchy.

Looking at his full body of work, Lee is vastly outperforming our models' original 3.55 ERA projection with a sparkling 1.84 mark through 41 games. His career-best 12.89 K/9 rate and 0.76 WHIP suggest that this dominance is largely supported by elite swing-and-miss stuff rather than luck. While some minor regression toward his career averages is likely over the rest of the season, his ability to suppress hits makes him one of the most reliable left-handed relievers in fantasy.

Our projection for the week ahead sees Lee providing roughly four innings of work with a high strikeout floor. The Braves face a favorable seven-game schedule, including matchups against high-ERA starters like Mitch Keller (5.29 ERA) and Matthew Liberatore (5.48 ERA). These projected offensive advantages for the Braves should translate into several late-inning leads for Lee to protect. Given his consistent usage and ability to help with ratios, he is a must-start in leagues that value holds. Start.
