Joey Daccord | Fantasy Outlook
Daccord faces challenging road test against Capitals in Washington
Joey Daccord is slated to defend the crease tonight as the Kraken visit the Capitals at Capital One Arena. Operating as Seattle's 1A starter in a tandem setup, the 30-year-old enters in steady form, having notched two wins with a 2.33 GAA and .911 save percentage through his first three appearances. Fantasy managers have reacted accordingly, with his start rate jumping up to 53% today. Seattle enters this road test as an underdog in what projects to be a higher-scoring environment, setting up an unconfirmed duel against Washington netminder Logan Thompson.
Our projection anticipates a testing evening for Daccord, forecasting roughly 25 to 26 saves with elevated ratio risk and an uncertain win chance against a potent Washington attack. While his early-season shot-stopping has been dependable, the road matchup against a favored host limits his projected fantasy output to about 2.4 points. Tonight concludes Seattle's three-game weekly slate, representing his final opportunity to deliver fantasy value before the schedule resets. Given the difficult matchup dynamics, managers should proceed with caution. Today’s action: Cautious Start.
