Brandon Bussi | Fantasy Outlook
Bussi looks to keep rolling as Hurricanes host Capitals at Lenovo Center
Brandon Bussi prepares for tonight's Metropolitan Division clash as the Carolina Hurricanes host the Washington Capitals at Lenovo Center. Operating as Carolina's primary starter in a tandem setup alongside Pyotr Kochetkov, Bussi enters in solid spirits after securing his second straight victory on Saturday in Chicago. Carolina sits atop the Eastern Conference at 5-1-1 and enters tonight as comfortable home favorites, though they face a capable Capitals squad in what our models view as a higher-scoring environment. While Bussi's early-season ratios sit at a 3.00 GAA and an .871 save percentage across four appearances, Carolina's dominant five-on-five possession offers him consistent insulation.
Our daily projections anticipate a testing night for Bussi, expecting roughly ~25 saves alongside an elevated goals-against average and a modest .878 save percentage, though Carolina's offensive backing gives him a solid win chance and roughly 3.4 projected fantasy points. Looking across the full fantasy week, Carolina plays three total games, leaving two weekend road matchups after tonight's contest where Bussi should share the crease. Fantasy managers seeking save volume and win equity can reliably deploy him tonight despite the potential ratio volatility against Washington's attack. Today’s action: Start.
