Ramon Laureano remains sidelined following hip surgery with 2026 regular season value exhausted

Laureano has not seen game action since late May after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip, keeping him firmly on the 60-day injured list. While the second-place Padres are rolling on a five-game winning streak at 87-69, Samad Taylor has taken over everyday duties in left field. Laureano recently expressed faint optimism regarding a potential return for October postseason play, but he remains completely unavailable for the remainder of the fantasy season.

Before his injury, Laureano was struggling to match his previous production, batting just .203 with seven homers and seven steals across 53 appearances. While his power and speed combination offered deep-league utility when healthy, persistent swing-and-miss issues capped his overall floor. With no realistic timetable to take another regular-season swing, there is no chance for a late-season rebound.

San Diego faces a challenging six-game slate featuring tough road tests against Dodgers aces Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Blake Snell before hosting Arizona later in the week. Given that Laureano is sidelined and will not take the field for the Padres during this final push, he has zero weekly utility. Sit.
