Jac Caglianone remains scorching hot at the plate ahead of a six-game home stand

Caglianone has been virtually unstoppable at the plate, slashing .415 over his last 14 days and batting .411 with six home runs and 26 RBIs across his last 30 games. He has completely shaken off a mid-August ankle scare and remains locked into everyday right field duties for a 62-76 Royals club that has captured eight wins over its last 10 games.

His sustained summer surge elevates his second-year line to a .284 average with 23 home runs and 66 RBIs, blowing completely past our models' initial season projections. While his .400-plus batting average over the past month will inevitably cool, his immense raw power and extra-base consistency prove that this second-half breakout is backed by real underlying skills.

Kansas City lines up for six home games this week, beginning with a three-game set against Miami. Tougher tests against Eury Perez (3.44 ERA) and Sandy Alcantara (3.51 ERA) give way to prime weekend scoring chances against Toronto's Max Scherzer (6.16 ERA) and Spencer Arrighetti (4.81 ERA).
