Brandon Nimmo finding his stride ahead of a friendly six-game homestand

Brandon Nimmo is finding his rhythm in Texas, batting .333 over his last six games with four doubles for the second-place Rangers, who trail the division lead by just one game. Currently locked in as the everyday right fielder, Nimmo's reliable presence is especially critical for the lineup with teammates like Corey Seager and Evan Carter currently on the shelf or day-to-day.

While his cool .225 average over the past 30 days was a drag on fantasy lineups, his recent hot streak shows he is adjusting well to his new home. This upswing aligns closely with his career track record and our rest-of-season projection of a .252 batting average. Though his over-the-fence power has been quiet lately with zero homers in his last 12 games, our models project him to find his stroke and finish with 18 home runs.

The Rangers host a six-game homestand this week against the Twins and Padres. Aside from a challenging matchup against Joe Ryan and his stingy 1.00 WHIP, Nimmo faces highly vulnerable pitchers like Zebby Matthews and Lucas Giolito, who both carry ERAs over 4.25. Given the favorable matchups and his current hot hand, he is a locked-in option. Verdict: Start.
