The 20-year-old shortstop has no recent major league games played as he continues his development in the minor leagues. However, his path to playing time could accelerate with starting shortstop Corey Seager currently questionable due to rib and jaw injuries. The second-place Rangers, sitting at 35-36 and just one game out of first in the AL West, may look to their top prospect if Seager requires an injured list stint.

With no career major league stats available, Walcott's value is speculative and tied to his elite minor league pedigree.
