Green Bay's Lead Back Offers Premium Value If Off-Field Cloud Clears

Josh Jacobs enters the season as the undisputed lead back for Green Bay, positioned well ahead of Chris Brooks and MarShawn Lloyd on the depth chart. Coming off a highly productive campaign, our projections expect him to command a heavy workload, targeting 251 carries and 11 rushing touchdowns. His 100% ownership and 80% start rate reflect his status as a trusted cornerstone in fantasy lineups.

However, his outlook is clouded by an ongoing domestic violence investigation stemming from a late-May arrest. While head coach Matt LaFleur has welcomed him back to practices and called his participation "business as usual," any potential league discipline remains a major risk. If he avoids a suspension, Jacobs is primed to excel as a high-end fantasy asset in this potent offense.

This legal uncertainty has caused his draft stock to plummet over the summer. Jacobs' ADP was once climbing near the middle of the second round but has steadily fallen to 32.00 as of July. In PPR formats, our models view this deflated price tag as a major buying opportunity, making him a premier risk-reward selection.
