Dylan Cease Dominates in Return from Injured List

After a brief stint on the injured list with a hamstring strain, Cease returned to the mound in spectacular fashion on June 9, racking up 11 strikeouts over six dominant innings. He helped stabilize a third-place Blue Jays squad that currently sits at 33-36 in the competitive AL East. Cease's healthy return immediately restores him to his role as a frontline starter for Toronto.

Cease’s outstanding return drops his 2026 season ERA to an impressive 2.97 with a 1.19 WHIP and an elite 13.92 K/9 over 12 games. While our rest-of-season model expects some eventual regression toward a 3.81 ERA and 1.24 WHIP, his exceptional underlying swing-and-miss metrics support his status as a must-start fantasy option.

Having already completed his lone start of the weekly matchup on Tuesday against Philadelphia, Cease will sit out the remaining weekend games against the rival Yankees. He is fully healthy and locked in as an elite pitching asset going forward. Verdict: Start.
