Workload Management Pauses McClanahan’s High-Upside Return

Shane McClanahan, a mid-rotation staple for the second-place Rays, is taking a breather as the team manages his workload. Tampa Bay, currently on a two-game win streak, pushed back his next start to ensure longevity following his return from a lengthy injury absence. While he has struggled with a 1.82 WHIP over his last 14 days, this rest period is designed to combat recent fatigue reflected in his 5.04 ERA over the last month.
