Kevin Kelly looks to steady his ratios after a rocky stretch in high-leverage relief

Kelly has endured a rough patch lately, surrendering five earned runs over 3.4 innings for a 13.24 ERA and 2.06 WHIP across his last 14 days. Despite the recent turbulence, he remains entrenched as the primary setup man for the first-place Rays, who sit at 90-59 on a three-game winning streak. With bullpen arms Garrett Cleavinger and Manuel Rodriguez sidelined on the injured list, Tampa Bay will continue to rely on Kelly in late-inning situations.

This recent slump appears to be an outlier rather than a systemic decline, as Kelly has maintained spotless control with zero walks issued over his past six appearances. Across the full 2026 campaign, he has posted an excellent 2.97 ERA and 1.04 WHIP alongside 30 holds, proving our models can expect his ratios to rebound.
