Luke Weaver dominates high-leverage role with historic scoreless streak

Weaver has been nearly untouchable lately, extending his scoreless streak to 24 consecutive appearances, which marks the longest active streak in the majors. He currently serves as the primary setup man for a fifth-place Mets squad that sits at 40-57 in the NL East and is looking to snap a three-game losing streak. With the bullpen facing significant health hurdles, Weaver's dominance in late-inning situations has made him an indispensable asset in our models.

While his career history shows significant volatility, Weaver appears to have truly revitalized his approach this season. He currently sports a 1.95 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP through 37 games, far outperforming our data's baseline expectation of a 4.04 ERA.
