Nathan Lukes | Fantasy Outlook

Lukes remains a fixture in the Blue Jays' outfield while providing steady offensive contributions

Lukes has cooled off slightly at the plate, batting .226 over his last 14 days, though he has maintained a solid .306 on-base percentage during that stretch. He is currently serving as the everyday starter in right field for a fifth-place Blue Jays team that sits at 45-51. His role is particularly secure right now as the club navigates a wave of injuries to the outfield, with both Jesus Sanchez and Addison Barger currently sidelined on the injured list.

His season-long .288 batting average is significantly outperforming our models' original .262 projection and his .256 mark from last year. While his recent dip in production suggests some regression toward his career mean is underway, his 2026 power numbers are already showing growth with five home runs in limited action. Given his high contact rate and consistent playing time, he remains a stable source of batting average even if the home run pace slows.

The Blue Jays finish the week with a three-game series at home against the White Sox. Lukes will face a rotation that includes Anthony Kay and his 4.45 ERA, followed by Davis Martin and Sean Burke.
