Recently acquired by the Blue Jays, Josh Smith has provided an immediate spark, batting .286 with a home run, four runs scored, and a stolen base over the last seven days. With Luis Urías currently sidelined due to a quad strain, Smith is seeing regular infield opportunities for a fourth-place Toronto squad riding a three-game winning streak.

Despite the recent life at the plate, Smith has endured a sluggish 2026 campaign, hitting just .216 through 54 games after posting a .258 average with 13 homers two seasons ago.
