Andres Munoz | Fantasy Outlook

Andrés Muñoz provides elite strikeout upside and closing security despite recent ratio turbulence.

Muñoz remains Seattle's undisputed closer, having recently locked down his 24th save of the season while eclipsing the 100-career-save milestone. Despite an 8.65 ERA across 5.2 innings over the last 14 days, he has continued to overpower hitters with 10 strikeouts for a 64-70 Mariners club.

While his 4.30 ERA and 1.28 WHIP this season trail his dominant 1.55 ERA campaign from a year ago, his underlying stuff remains elite with a stellar 15.07 K/9. Our projections expect positive ratio regression toward a sub-3.00 ERA down the stretch, confirming his recent turbulence is bad sequencing rather than a skill decline.

Seattle finishes out the week with a three-game weekend set in Toronto starting Friday. With tight games projected against Blue Jays starters like Dylan Cease and Jose Soriano, high-leverage opportunities should be readily available. Start.
