Josh Naylor provides rare speed at first base despite recent power drought

He remains the everyday starter at first base for a second-place Mariners team that currently holds a 48-49 record and sits just 1.5 games out of the division lead. His most impressive recent contribution has been on the basepaths, where he has recorded three stolen bases in his last four appearances, providing elite categorical value for the position.

Under the hood, Naylor's .252 season average and eight home runs are trailing the pace of his career-best 2025 campaign, but his 19 stolen bases through 90 games indicate he is still an elite speed asset.
