Jeff Hoffman provides high-strikeout setup value despite recent ratio turbulence

Hoffman has posted a 3.50 ERA with 16 strikeouts across 10.3 innings over his last 30 days, though he has hit a slight bump with an 8.18 ERA over his past five appearances. Following his deadline trade to Minnesota, the veteran right-hander has stepped directly into the primary setup role for a third-place Twins squad currently sitting at 64-70 on a two-game skid.

Although an elevated 4.46 ERA and 1.61 WHIP on the year highlight bouts of control issues, his swing-and-miss stuff remains elite with 86 strikeouts across 50.4 frames.
