Kaelen Culpepper's path to the majors stalled by recurring glute injury

Culpepper’s momentum has come to a halt after returning to the Triple-A injured list on July 7 with a recurring glute injury. This follows a period where our data shows no recent games played, a disappointing turn for a prospect who was recently selected as the lone representative for the Futures Game. The third-place Twins currently sit at 48-49 in the AL Central and have been forced to delay any potential promotion talk while their top infield prospect recovers.

Before the injury, Culpepper was flashing elite potential in the minors, crushing 13 home runs with an impressive .853 OPS at Triple-A St. Paul.
