Secure Backup Role in Green Bay Offers Intriguing Late-Round Handcuff Value

Brooks enters the year as the direct backup to lead back Josh Jacobs in Green Bay. While Jacobs remains the focal point, Brooks sits ahead of MarShawn Lloyd on the depth chart, positioning him as an important insurance policy. During spring practices, Brooks took first-team reps with Jacobs absent, showcasing his secure place in the offense.

Over his last two seasons in Green Bay, Brooks has been an efficient depth piece, averaging 5.1 yards per carry in 2024. Our models project him to handle 58 rushing attempts for 251 yards and a score, while adding 15 receptions. These numbers limit his standalone value, but an injury to Jacobs would instantly elevate him.

His draft stock has fluctuated, shifting from a peak near pick 259 in early June down to the 400s before stabilizing around an ADP of 345 in July. At this bargain price, our projections view Brooks as a cheap bench stash with an easy path to volume in PPR formats.
