Jacob deGrom's status remains uncertain as Rangers monitor mild glute strain

Jacob deGrom is currently sidelined with a mild left glute strain, which forced him to miss his most recent scheduled start. While the first-place Rangers, sitting at 49-47 in the AL West, are hopeful he can avoid the injured list, his availability remains day-to-day. Over his last 30 days of action, deGrom posted a 4.50 ERA but maintained a sharp 1.08 WHIP and 33 strikeouts across 24 innings, demonstrating he still possesses elite swing-and-miss stuff despite the recent physical setbacks.

Despite the slightly inflated monthly ERA, deGrom’s underlying metrics align closely with our season projection of a 3.04 ERA and 1.02 WHIP.
