Shota Imanaga brings elite command into a favorable home start

Imanaga has been in prime form down the stretch, posting a stellar 2.25 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with 12 strikeouts over 12 innings in his last two outings. As the rotation anchor for a second-place Cubs team (87-69) on a two-game win streak, he has shouldered extra responsibility with several starters injured. His pinpoint control was evident in his last outing, walking zero batters over six strong innings.

While his 3.92 ERA across 30 starts reflects occasional home run blemishes, his recent surge aligns well with our baseline projection of a 3.73 ERA and 1.08 WHIP.
