Eric Lauer lands on 60-day injured list, ending fantasy relevance

Lauer's campaign came to an abrupt halt after he was placed on the 60-day injured list with left elbow inflammation, officially removing him from the rotation. Before going down, the veteran southpaw struggled to a 10.80 ERA and 2.00 WHIP across 10 innings over his last three appearances. His absence comes as the first-place Dodgers (92-60) brace for the postseason with an already reshuffled pitching staff.

Through 106 innings this season, Lauer logged a disappointing 5.35 ERA and 1.34 WHIP alongside 72 strikeouts, falling well short of our baseline expectations. His diminished strikeout rate and persistent traffic on the bases demonstrated that his early summer stability was unsustainable over a full workload. With his regular season officially finished due to the long-term injury designation, any remaining optimism has evaporated.

The Dodgers conclude their week with matchups against the Reds and Giants, leaning on their remaining starters while Lauer registers zero projected innings from the sidelines.
