Eric Lauer stabilizes a depleted Dodgers rotation, but with his weekly start completed, fantasy managers can safely bench him.

Eric Lauer has stepped up for the first-place Dodgers (48-27), who are riding a three-game win streak but dealing with massive rotation injuries to Tyler Glasnow, Blake Snell, and Bobby Miller. Slotting in as a key mid-rotation starter, Lauer has been solid recently, posting a 3.36 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over his last 30 days.

While Lauer's overall 5.55 season ERA looks rough, his underlying metrics over the past month are highly encouraging and align closer to our projection of a 4.35 ERA. The drop in WHIP to 1.07 suggests he is limiting traffic, though his low strikeout rate during this stretch (14 strikeouts in 21.1 innings) indicates he is pitching to contact and remains a ratio risk if his control wavers.
