Dylan Crews | Fantasy Outlook

Dylan Crews locked into regular playing time but continues to battle contact issues at the plate

Crews has endured a difficult stretch at the dish, slashing just .143/.160/.245 with one home run and 16 strikeouts over his last 14 games. With James Wood currently sidelined due to an oblique strain, Crews remains an everyday fixture in the outfield for a fourth-place Nationals squad sitting at 60-66 on a three-game losing streak.

Through 74 games, the young outfielder is batting .211 with 10 home runs and eight steals across 275 at-bats. While his power output has already reached our full-season projection of 10 homers, his elevated strikeout rate continues to drag down his batting average and limit his overall fantasy ceiling.

Washington heads out for a six-game road trip across Texas and Miami this week. Crews faces challenging assignments against frontline arms Jacob deGrom and Eury Perez (3.39 ERA), though more favorable dates against Kumar Rocker (4.59 ERA) and Ryan Gusto (4.70 ERA) provide opportunities to generate power. Given his current contact slump, he is best left on the bench in standard leagues. Sit.
