Luis Castillo | Fantasy Outlook

Luis Castillo aims to rebound against the Mets following a mixed start with the White Sox

Castillo slots in as the number two starter for the first-place White Sox (66-60) after his midseason trade from Seattle. While he dazzled with a 10-strikeout shutout against the Reds in his home debut, he stumbled against the Cubs on Monday, bringing his 14-day marks to a 4.74 ERA with 16 strikeouts over 15.2 innings.

Though his season-long 5.13 ERA is elevated compared to past years, our projections expect significant positive regression toward a 3.76 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. His ability to generate swings and misses remains top-tier, making his recent ERA inflation more of an anomaly than a permanent decline.

Finishing off a two-start week, Castillo takes the mound at home on Saturday against the Mets and Christian Scott (3.61 ERA). Facing a fifth-place Mets club, Castillo is primed to rebound and provide high-end strikeout totals. Start.
