Matt Olson Powers Up with Multi-Homer Surge as First-Place Braves Head to New York

Matt Olson is locked in as the everyday first baseman for the first-place Braves, who sit atop the NL East with a stellar 45-23 record. Over his last 14 days, Olson has been absolutely scorching, batting .327 with four home runs and 11 runs scored. His elite production cleanup is more crucial than ever for Atlanta after outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. recently landed on the 10-day injured list.

While Olson's rolling 30-day average sits at a more modest .236, this recent tear aligns beautifully with his elite career norms. Our models project him to finish with 30 home runs and a .251 batting average, and his 19 actual homers through 68 games put him well ahead of that pace. This recent hot streak is no fluke, but rather a correction back to his elite middle-of-the-order standard.
