Spencer Schwellenbach | Fantasy Outlook

Spencer Schwellenbach remains sidelined on the 60-day injured list with elbow inflammation.

Spencer Schwellenbach has not pitched this season as he continues to recover from right elbow inflammation that landed him on the 60-day injured list back in February. His absence hasn't slowed down the first-place Braves, who lead the NL East with a stellar 46-25 record. With other starters currently filling out the rotation, Schwellenbach remains strictly a long-term stash candidate.

When healthy, the 26-year-old is an exceptional ratio stabilizer, coming off a strong 2025 campaign where he posted a 3.21 ERA and an elite 0.99 WHIP over 109.5 innings. Our models project him to compile a superb 3.35 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 115 strikeouts over 156.0 innings once fully active. His excellent command and low career walk rates make his high-floor profile well worth holding onto in most formats.

The Braves host the Giants and Brewers this week, but Schwellenbach will not be a part of the rotation as he continues his rehabilitation process. Given his high-end talent and the strong team context, he is a priority hold in injured reserve spots but cannot be used in active lineups yet. Verdict: Sit.
