First-Round Rookie Primed for Immediate Backfield Impact in Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks selected Jadarian Price with the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 draft to inject playmaking into their backfield. While listed behind Zach Charbonnet on the depth chart, Price has a golden opportunity to claim a major role early. Charbonnet is recovering from a torn ACL sustained in January and is expected to miss the start of the season. This opening positions the Notre Dame product as the potential lead back for Seattle's offense out of the gate, especially after drawing early praise for his open-field vision during offseason workouts.

Our models project Price to be heavily involved, forecasting 202 rush attempts for 902 yards and seven touchdowns, alongside 23 receptions. While there are reports that Seattle doesn't want to overwork him right away, his first-round pedigree makes a significant workload inevitable. He will share some touches with depth options like George Holani, but his explosive skillset gives him high-end RB2 upside as long as he handles the bulk of the carries.

Fantasy managers are catching on, causing Price's ADP to steadily climb. After sitting around 83 overall in mid-June, his draft stock has risen to 73 by mid-July. At this mid-round price tag, he represents an intriguing value in 1.0 PPR formats. If he can secure the starting job permanently before Charbonnet returns, Price could easily outperform this shifting market cost and become a weekly fantasy starter.
