Mac Jones | Fantasy Outlook
Premier Superflex Handcuff in San Francisco's Elite Offense
Mac Jones enters the year as the primary backup to Brock Purdy in San Francisco. After signing a revised contract, Jones is content with his role in Kyle Shanahan's system. He will not see fantasy relevance unless Purdy misses time, but his previous season in SF—throwing for 2,151 yards and 13 touchdowns—proves he is a premier backup.
His ADP has been highly volatile, sliding as low as pick 915 in mid-June before stabilizing around 462. This late-round cost makes him a solid Superflex stash. Our projections of 400 passing yards and two touchdowns reflect his bench role, but he represents a great value relative to his cheap market price.
With roster ownership sitting at 7%, Jones is a priority handcuff rather than a standard draft target. He should only be rostered in deep leagues or as direct insurance for Purdy.
