Starting Role Clouded by First-Round Competition and Capped Target Share

Mason Taylor stepped into a meaningful role as a rookie in 2025, hauling in 47 receptions for 390 yards and a score across 14 games. While the second-year tight end enters the season as the starter on the depth chart and focused on run blocking and yards after catch this offseason, the arrival of first-round rookie Kenyon Sadiq adds immediate competition for snaps.

With Garrett Wilson anchoring the passing attack and Breece Hall commanding significant backfield targets, volume over the middle will be heavily contested.
