Backup Role in Atlanta Limits Standalone Value But Offers Premium Handcuff Appeal
Brian Robinson is set to operate as the clear change-of-pace option and primary backup behind superstar Bijan Robinson in the Atlanta backfield. After a limited depth role in San Francisco last year, he joins a heavily consolidated Falcons run game where we project him for 111 carries and 494 rushing yards. He remains a premium insurance policy but holds minimal standalone value as long as the starter is healthy.
From a market perspective, Robinson’s ADP has stubbornly stabilized around 150, sliding slightly from the mid-140s earlier in the summer. At this late-round price in 1.0 PPR formats, fantasy managers are treating him strictly as a high-upside handcuff rather than a weekly flex. Our models view him as a fair value at this current cost, though his declining ownership rate down to 16% highlights fading redraft enthusiasm.
Historically, Robinson has shown flashes of decent efficiency, but our projection of just 11 receptions on 18 targets indicates he won't factor much in the passing game. He represents a classic bench stash who will start the season with low start rates.
