Learning the Route Tree Could Lock in Late-Round PPR Value

Woody Marks enters his second season with the Texans operating as the primary backup to David Montgomery. After logging 212 carries in his rookie campaign, our projections expect a more efficient, shared workload for Marks this year. We project him to handle 124 carries for 508 yards and three touchdowns, keeping him heavily involved as a change-of-pace runner.

The real excitement for Marks' fantasy profile lies in his developing passing-game usage. Recent reports highlight him actively learning the route tree in anticipation of an expanded pass-catching role. We project him to grab 23 receptions for 185 yards and a touchdown, giving him a stable floor in PPR formats despite operating behind a clear lead back.

This shifting role is reflected in the draft market, where his ADP has steadily slipped from 126 in early June to a stable 135 in mid-July. Currently rostered in 83% of leagues but starting in only 33%, Marks represents a fantastic late-round value benchmark for managers looking to secure premium backfield depth.
