Trae Young | Fantasy Outlook

Trae Young Season Outlook: Elite Playmaking Anchor in Washington

Entering his ninth NBA season at age 28, Trae Young steps in as the undisputed primary playmaker and starting point guard for Washington. With co-star Anthony Davis anchoring the frontcourt, Young commands a massive offensive role with little positional competition from backup Bub Carrington, cementing heavy perimeter minutes.

Our projections forecast a productive campaign, slating Young for 38.1 fantasy points across 33.9 minutes per game. We expect high-end distribution and scoring, projecting 21.8 points and 9.6 assists per contest. Over an anticipated 72 games, his elite playmaking volume should produce top-tier assist totals and frequent double-doubles.

Drafted around pick 25, Young easily justifies his early-round price tag. While high turnovers and a 43.5% projected field goal rate dent his nine-category efficiency, his locked-in 100% roster status and unmatched assist floor make him an elite fantasy centerpiece.
